According to SR Padwale, range officer who will be in-charge
of the control room at Mulund, this office will benefit
residents who want to report leopard attacks, illegal
tree cutting and liquor dens.
He says, "For instance, when a monkey troubled Mulund
colony residents, they had to contact us at the Borivli
office.
By the time we got here, the monkey had left. We would
always turn up late, and we had to keep visiting the
area until we finally caught the monkey. With a control
room in the vicinity, residents can be assured of prompt
action."
At the moment, residents will have to visit the office
to lodge complaints. "We will soon get a phone number,"
says Padwale.
'New office will ensure timely
action'
Ajay Bhatia,
Resident of Mulund Colony
"Whenever we spotted leopards, we had to go to the Borivli
office.
The new office will definitely ensure timely action."
Raj Gangwani

"The new forest control room will ensure that we are
saved from a lot of trouble and more prompt action from
the forest department officials."
