                                       Save The Barn Owl

Of Owls, there are at least half a dozen kinds in theMumbai envoirns with
two - the spotted owlet and the owl - having become city residents.

The barn owl is the larger of our city owls and one of world's best-known birds. it is about the size of house crow, largely buffy - yellow and white with an unmistakable face dominated by a heart shaped very monkey-like facial disc. It is quite widespread in the city and suburbs and has several nesting sites. It breeds between October and March.

Right now , it is the peak nesting time of this bird. Every year there are several reports of injured or young birds landing inside homes and offices or found abandoned

Crowns immediately set upon these owls and kill them. So, just in case you happen to come across one these owls, please do not leave it.
